I may not have been here very long, but I am able to appreciate the vibe of the school and the wonderful people that attend and work here. That's why there are so many activities run by Student Involvement, all of them geared towards making sure that students are still enjoying their time in college. Auburn is truly a place that wants you to belong. There is a very strong camaraderie that permeates the campus. Many of these facilities are going to be replaced in the coming years. The campus itself is gorgeous, but there are a couple of buildings that are on the older side (namely the Hill residential halls, and Parker hall). Just like at any school there will be professors you like and some that you don't, but I haven't had that issue yet. Overall I am grateful to be a Horned Frog! Read 1,618 Reviewsįreshman: I am but a lowly freshman, set to graduate in May of 2025 if everything works out all right, but I am currently enjoying my experience here at Auburn. The pressure of needing to do well for financial purposes led to me not getting the results that I expect from myself. This has affected me as I am only able to attend TCU due to the academic scholarship that I received which lowered the cost of loans that I had to take out. The one critique that I have about the school is that it is expensive which puts pressure on the students, which can at times take focus away from just simply doing well in class. In the midst of COVID-19, I feel safe being on-campus and going to the library. The school is well taken care of and very clean especially with the COVID rules. From the time I toured the campus, I just knew it was where I belong and I can easily say that I still have that feeling today. The staff is helpful on all grounds and the student body is welcoming. Sophomore: TCU is a picture-perfect campus! Every day when I attend class I feel like I'm in a movie. A good rule of thumb for future UW-Madison students is "Work hard, play hard." Attending UW-Madison will produce a fun college experience!. Weekends are always a good time at Madison. If Greek life isn't your style, there are still plenty of other ways to make friends and have fun. If you are interested in joining a fraternity or a sorority, rest assured that Madison's Greek life is very active. There is also a great variety of extracurriculars at Wisconsin. Madison has a great support system for their students and offers really great resources for tutoring. Professors are really understanding, especially because of the current pandemic. The classes can be time-consuming and difficult depending on your major of study. Not only are there multiple course options, but most of the courses offered are extremely interesting. There are so many different areas on campus, including amazing nature and even bat cages! They also have a huge fruit and vegetable garden and a food pantry with free items for students. It is also a very sports-centered school so as someone who is not a fan of sports, sometimes that left me feeling left out. I will say the student, faculty, and staff population was not as diverse as I would have liked it to be, and I hope they're working on making that aspect better. Although UF is very STEM-focused, the liberal arts courses are varied and offer great education. Once I got into my sociology major, I took multiple classes that were within my specific interests and my professors offered great views on these topics. Alum: The education I received at the University of Florida was excellent.
